Training courses can be customized to meet your needs.  Training can be
conducted at your training sites or at ours.  Scroll down to the bottom of this page

  • Narcotics Detection Training  -  Training and certification is available in
    narcotics detection. Narcotic detection dogs can be trained to your needs with
    either an aggressive indication or a passive indication. Dogs are on trained on
    marijuana, methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin. Training includes scent
    recognition/memorization, indication drills, searching skills, and realistic training
    scenarios. The basic narcotics training course also includes handling skills,
    detector dog psychology, daily care and maintenance, handler and dog first aid,
    current case law, and training  documentation.

  • Explosive Detection Training   -  Training and certification is available in
    explosive detection.  Explosive detection dogs are trained on real explosive
    odors.  The training consists of scent memorization, indication, searching skills,
    handling skills, and realistic training scenarios.  The course also includes dog
    psychology, daily care, dog first aid, current case law, and training
    documentation.  There is also instruction on basic explosive recognition, booby
    traps, and IEDs.  

  • Patrol  -  Training and certification is available in criminal apprehension. The
    dogs can be trained to your department needs as either a bark and hold or
    handler control (bite and hold). The course will consist of obedience, tracking,
    evidence searches, handler defense, area searches, vehicle extractions, and
    building searches. The basic patrol class will also include current case law,
    handler skills, dog and handler first aid, daily care, and maintenance and training
    documentation. There will be realistic training scenarios at the end of the course.

DELTA PATROL DOG
SEMINAR AND CERTIFICATION

APRIL 23, 24, & 25TH
DELTA, UTAH
COST:  $50.00

This will be a three day hands on, working seminar.  Handlers
should be prepared to work hard in all conditions (terrain,
weather, etc).  Handlers should be prepared with the necessary
items (charged flashlight, appropriate clothing, sun screen, bug
spray, duty belts, muzzles, etc).  A Utah POST Certification will
be offered during the seminar.  Please have your dogs prepared!
